Gina Armengol presented this paper as an oral abstract at the Annual Scientific Conference of the Bloodless Medicine & Surgery Society (2021).
Gina describes herself as a "mixed-methods global health researcher, with mixed backgrounds." She hold a bachelor’s in pharmaceutical science, however she says: "I knew I wanted to do something related to research and in the global health field." Emerging from this motivation, as well as, a desire to understand and improve health related problems that are impacting society, she decided to take up the Research Masters in Global Health in Amsterdam, which she recently finished. As of now, she is working as a Public Health Officer in Barcelona, Spain, in the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance.
