Uwem was at the time a 5th year dental student of the Faculty of Dentistry, College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar, Calabar. He is a student member of the Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Society and an international student affiliate of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Ireland and Edinburgh. Uwem's career interest is in oral & maxillofacial surgery where he intends to apply Patient Blood Management principles to care for patients in future.
